Scientific visit to Virgo
From January 17 to 21, Mariusz Suchenek, the leader of AstroCeNT Group 3, undertook a scientific visit to Virgo.
Virgo is an interferometric gravitational-wave antenna with two 3-km-long arms housing a laser interferometer. The interferometer output is susceptible to various seismic sources, making it beneficial to have numerous seismometers and… Read more
Seismic sensors installation in Gran Sasso laboratory
On the 2-8th of March, the leaders of two AstroCeNT research groups – Prof. Tomasz Bulik and Dr Mariusz Suchenek went to Italy to install seismic sensors (developed by AstroCeNT) in the Gran Sasso underground laboratory (Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso).
Measurement campaign in SAR-GRAV
On November 19-28, Dr. Mariusz Suchenek (leader of group 3) and PhD student Mateusz Petrzak paid a scientific visit to Italy.
Seismometer constructed in AstroCeNT was set up at Aeronet station, Peru
Prof Tomasz Bulik, leader of AstroCeNT Group 2, is taking part in preparation for the construction of the SWGO – Southern Wide-field Gamma Observatory.
Currently a site visit is taking place. The Site Committee is now in Peru but will visit also sites in Chile and Argentina. As… Read more
