A new chapter for Astrocent is about to begin! Following the official signing of the Grant Agreement with the European Commission for the Teaming for Excellence project, Astrocent representatives were invited to Brussels to participate in two key events marking the launch of new initiatives.
On 27 November 2024, Leszek Roszkowski, Head of Astrocent, and Marta Borowiec, Project Manager, attended the Teaming Coordinators’ Day event. Organized by the European Commission, this meeting offered valuable insights into policy expectations, implementation strategies, financial and legal frameworks, and the role of communication and dissemination in Teaming projects.
The following day, on 28 November 2024, Dr Boriwiec and Prof. Roszkowski participated in the Excellence Hubs & Teaming Networking Event, chaired by Federica Roffi from the European Research Executive Agency (REA). This gathering brought together leading researchers and policymakers to address challenges and strategies for driving innovation, sustainability, and collaboration within Teaming and Excellence Hubs projects.
One more highlight of the trip was a meeting at the PolSCA office. During discussions with Tomasz Poprawka, Director of PolSCA in Brussels, they explored opportunities for joint efforts to promote Polish science across Europe.
Astrocent is excited to embark on this new journey, contributing to cutting-edge research and fostering international collaborations that strengthen the European research landscape.
