On the 20-25th of June 2022 AstroCeNT postdocs Dr Marek Walczak and Dr Rafał Wojaczyński participated in INFN School of Underground Physics – SoUP 2022 carried out in LNGS.
SoUP 2022 is an advanced school for PhD students, post-docs and young researchers willing to gain deeper knowledge in topics related to underground physics. The school is open to everybody in the world working on underground physics. The school includes lectures and hands-on sessions on physics, detectors, technologies and statistics specific to the topic of low-background, underground experiments. Videos of lectures from the school will be available on SoUP Youtube Channel.
During the school our colleagues also had opportunity to visit the LNGS laboratory, where the DarkSide-20k detector will be built.
Participation in SoUP, which helps young scientists gain new knowledge and expand their network in the scientific community, was made possible thanks to funding from the DarkWave project.
