From 22–25 September 2025, Astrocent participated in the APPEC Town Meeting: Preparation of the 2027–2036 Strategic Roadmap, hosted by the University of Zaragoza, Spain.
Prof. Leszek Roszkowski, Deputy Chair of the APPEC General Assembly and member of the Organizing Committee, and Prof. Marcin Kuźniak, member of the APPEC Scientific Advisory Committee, represented Astrocent in this important gathering.
The Town Meeting brought together leading scientists, policymakers, and funding agencies to discuss the future directions of Astroparticle Physics in Europe and beyond. This included plenary talks, round table discussions, and the integration of community feedback collected earlier this year. The forthcoming APPEC briefing book, summarizing survey results, will be released in summer 2025 as a foundation for the roadmap.
The discussions in Zaragoza will directly contribute to the European Astroparticle Physics Strategy 2027–2036, shaping long-term priorities and strengthening international cooperation in this rapidly evolving field.
