Last week, Dr Masayuki Wada and Dr Andre Filipe Ventura Cortez visited the University of Coimbra to explore new collaborations with two internationally renowned research institutes, LIP and LIBPhys. During the visit, they toured the lab facilities and workshops of the Physics Department, identifying shared research interests and key infrastructures that could benefit Astrocent/NCAC and the Polish Academy of Sciences in general.
Additionally, Dr Cortez had the pleasure of presenting a seminar titled “The Future of MPGDs in Dark Matter Searches” to an audience of professors, senior researchers, and PhD students. Possible collaborations were discussed with several group leaders from both institutions, including the future access to existing infrastructures.
We’re excited to continue building on these collaborations and put the outcomes of this fruitful trip, made possible by the Polish Academy of Sciences financing support, into action!
