On the 1th of February 2022 AstroCeNT PhD student Wathela Alhassan (Seismic Sensors research group led by Prof. Tomasz Bulik) presented his poster at the 56th Rencontres de Moriond 2022 conference. The title of his presentation was “Binary Black Holes detection in Einstein Telescope using Convolutional Neural Networks”.
Rencontres de Moriond is an annual scientific event that aims to discuss the latest discoveries and new ideas in physics. The meeting is intended to promote fruitful collaboration between various communities and institutes by bringing together scientists in inspiring surroundings.
The Rencontres are recognised as an excellent training opportunity as well as an opportunity for young scientists to integrate into the physics community.
Wathela’s trip was funded by the DarkWave project.
