Poland is one of the founders and an active member of the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) Collaboration. CTA is currently in the process of constructing high energy telescope arrays at two sites: on La Palma in the Canary islands and near the Paranal Observatory in Chile
CTA will be the most sensitive very high energy gamma ray observatory in the world. More details about CTA can be found at https://www.cta-observatory.org/, while the Polish activities are described on https://obserwatorium-cta.pl/?lang=en.
Local organization of the meeting is done by Prof. Bulik and his group.
The Polish involvement currently revolves mainly around the construction and commissioning of the SST 1M telescope. Additionally, we are involved in computing, theory, and site characterization activities. The 2019 meeting of the CTA-PL collaboration will be hosted by Astrocent on 22 May of this year.
