The 2nd International Workshop on Machine Learning and Quantum Computing Applications in Medicine and Physics

From June 4 to 7, 2024, members of the AstroCeNT group 5 — Dr. Piotr Kalaczynski, Dr. Tomasz Rybotycki, and group leader Prof. Piotr Gawron — participated in the WMLQ2024 workshop. The workshop was organized by the National Centre for Nuclear Research in collaboration with scientists from the University of Vienna, Jagiellonian University, and the Polish National Competence Centre in HPC Phase 2 (EuroCC2). The event was held at the Wspólna Training Centre in Warsaw, Poland.

The WMLQ2024 covered a broad range of topics including quantum simulations, quantum algorithms, and both classical and quantum machine learning algorithms, with a focus on their applications in Physics and Medicine. Its goal was to facilitate the transfer of methods between disciplines by bringing together experts from various institutions and research groups in fields such as medical imaging, radiotherapy, physics, and computer science.

We are very proud to have specialists on our team who are dedicated to advancing such a promising field.
