JuliaHEP 2023 workshop, Germany
From 7 to 10 November, our colleague Piotr Kalaczyński from group 5 took part in the JuliaHEP 2023 workshop. The workshop took place online and in person over four days at the Erlangen Centre for Astroparticle Physics in Erlangen, Germany, with plenty of time for talks, discussions, and tutorials.
During the workshop, Piotr gave a talk advertising a set of Julia libraries developed by the leader of AstroCeNT group 5, Prof. Piotr Gawron.
The Julia programming language is a high-level, high-performance programming language specifically designed for numerical and scientific computing. It was developed to address the need for a language that combines the ease of use of languages like Python with the performance of low-level languages like C or Fortran. Julia is designed to be fast, flexible, and easy to learn. That’s why Piotr Kalaczyński’s participation in this workshop is a beneficial investment in the development of our employees, and therefore in the future of AstroCeNT.
