Our colleague, dr Sebastian Trojanowski from the Particle Astrophysics group, has been recently invited to present his work at the Iranian Conference on High Energy Physics (IRCHEP 2021): Deciphering the Universe Ciphers. The conference gathered more than 250 physicists (both locally in Iran and internationally from Europe and the US) discussed topics varying from particle physics to holography.
At the conference, dr Trojanowski promoted the efforts towards discovering new particles and dark matter in the novel physics program in the far-forward region of the LHC. These searches will be initiated next year by the FASER experiment, while the possible extension of this program to the future of the LHC by building a dedicated Forward Physics Facility is currently being discussed.
