DarkWave kick-off

On 29th of October the kick-off meeting of the DarkWave (a project supported by the European Commission from the Horizon 2020 Twinning scheme, grant agreement No 952480) took place.

The DarkWave consortium is directed by Dr Marcin Kuzniak, the leader of AstroCeNT Research Group 1.

The main objective of the project is strengthening the collaboration between leading research centers working on topics of dark matter, neutrino and gravitational waves research: Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center, GSSI – Gran Sasso Science Institute, INFN – Instituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, Technical University of Munich, and Laboratoire APC of CNRS – Centre national de la recherche scientifique.

Kickoff meeting, organized via Zoom, was attended by 26 participants, including representatives of scientific institutions and the European Commission. For 4 hours the scientists and project administrators were discussing the main project goals and objectives, rules for work organizing, plans for the next three months and prospects for the future.

There are 3 years of fruitful scientific cooperation ahead, which should bring its results and create a basis for further cooperation.
