Annual International Scientific Committee Meeting at AstroCeNT, Warsaw

AstroCeNT, the Particle Astrophysics Science and Technology Centre, marked its fifth anniversary this summer with a gathering of the International Scientific Committee (ISC) on the 26th of June. While most ISC members participated remotely via Zoom, the event was graced by the presence of Prof. Barbara Erazmus (CNRS, Nantes, France), Prof. Sotiris Loucatos (APC, Paris, France). Kinga Słomińska, a representative of the Foundation for Polish Science, also joined the ISC remotely.
The meeting covered various topics, including project updates, new collaborations, and ISC member appointments. Notable achievements included surpassing project indicators, proper fund allocation, and the presentation of a promotional film. New projects focusing on dark matter detection, technological advancements, and gravitational wave analysis were unanimously approved. The meeting concluded with gratitude towards ISC members for their contributions to AstroCeNT’s success.
The event highlighted the remarkable progress made by AstroCeNT in its mission to advance particle astrophysics science and technology. We are eagerly looking ahead to the future and believe in our potential to contribute significant societal benefits and make notable scientific advancements, not just in Poland, but also on a global scale.
