48th Congress of Polish Physicists

Dr. Sebastian Trojanowski from the Particle Astrophysics group of AstroCeNT attended the 48th Congress of Polish Physicists organized by the Polish Physical Society at the Gdańsk University of Technology between the 1st and 7th of September. The congress continued the meetings initiated by the Founding Congress of the Polish Physical Society in 1920 in Warsaw.
The conference gathers scientists from various branches of physics and related fields, physics teachers, representatives of industry and institutions funding research and its implementation, students, pupils, and physics enthusiasts. Dr. Trojanowski was invited to give an introductory talk at the session devoted to searches for new physics at CERN. His presentation was followed by talks discussing recent results of several specific major LHC and neutrino experiments with Polish involvement.
