On May 25, 2021, the Polish Information Society hosted the World Information Society Day Conference. During the event, prof. Piotr Gawron, leader of the Scientific Computing & Information Technology group at AstroCeNT, gave a lecture entitled “What is quantum computing?”
Quantum computing is a large field of knowledge that has been developing since the late 1970s. Poland contributes significantly to the development of this exciting branch of science.
Currently, in Poland, there are definitely not enough IT specialists understanding challenges and opportunities that new developments in quantum computation introduce.
